Igniting Innovation: The Future of the EU ATMP Ecosystem

The policy event “Igniting Innovation: The Future of the EU ATMP Ecosystem” will bring together the co-hosts MEP Nikos Papandreou and MEP Kristian Vigenin, and will feature contributions from a wide range of policymakers, including senior EU officials, patient representatives, industry experts and the scientific community.

Join us for an in-depth discussion on advancing patient access to ATMPs and strengthening Europe’s innovation ecosystem. This event will explore how access to ATMPs can be reframed as a long-term investment for patients, healthcare systems, and society, highlighting the broad value these therapies bring beyond health outcomes and how such benefits can be captured to facilitate patient access.

Since 2021, the TRANSFORM MEP Interest Group has championed evidence-based policy recommendations to support the development, manufacturing, and delivery of ATMPs. During this event, TRANSFORM members will present the Alliance’s latest recommendations and discuss how the EU Biotech Act can foster a sustainable and competitive environment for ATMP innovation and access across Europe.
