European Alliance for Transformative Therapies (TRANSFORM)
The European Alliance for Transformative Therapies (TRANSFORM) is a multi-stakeholder Alliance that connects Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and policy-makers with patient groups, medical experts and associations, scientists, researchers, industry actors, networks and other relevant stakeholders. TRANSFORM aims to foster effective dialogue and provide evidence-based policy recommendations to enable safe and timely patient access to cell and gene therapies, whilst ensuring the sustainability of healthcare systems.
TRANSFORM aims to facilitate discussions between stakeholders and policy-makers, with the following objectives:
- Collaborate in the development and dissemination of evidence-based recommendations to enable patient access to cell and gene therapies.
- Inform MEPs about the specificities of these transformative therapies with a view to shaping policy.
- Prepare healthcare systems for the adoption of these transformative therapies.
The European Alliance for Transformative Therapies is a multi-stakeholder coalition open to any stakeholders active in the field of transformative therapies. A Steering Group with a balanced representation of the members facilitates the work of the Alliance.
The TRANSFORM MEP Interest Group comprises cross-party Members of the European Parliament. Three Co-Chairs lead the initiative and pursue dialogue with stakeholders and decision-makers.
The TRANSFORM Secretariat provides organisational support to both the European Alliance for Transformative Therapies and the TRANSFORM MEP Interest Group. Its work is enabled by funding from the European Confederation of Pharmaceutical Entrepreneurs (EUCOPE) and its members.
